How to check CBSE Result 2021 for 12th Online

Students can check below where to check CBSE 12th Result 2021 and the steps to follow:

  • Visit any of the websites – www.cbseresults.nic.inwww.cbse.nic.in & results.gov.in
  • A result login page will appear as given below:
  • Enter CBSE roll number, school number, centre number and admit card ID
  • Click on ‘Submit’
  • View 12th Result 2021

How to check CBSE Result for Class 12 through IVRS

The CBSE class 12 result can also be checked through Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). The call would be charged at 30 paisa/minute for a single roll number. Students need to dial the number, 24300699, along with the code of their area preceding the given number.

How to check CBSE Class 12th Results 2021 through SMS

There is an option to get the CBSE class 12 result by sending an SMS from the registered number. The format which is to be followed for the SMS: “cbse12 (roll number) (date of birth) (school number) (Centre number) on the number 7738299899. The format of the date of birth should be ddmmyyyy. Students will then receive an SMS with a subject-wise list of their marks. 

CBSE Class 12th Exam Digital Marksheet through Digilocker

Students are also sent their CBSE Result 2021 for Class 12 in the form of digital marksheets via DigiLocker. Their DigiLocker account details are sent via SMS on the registered mobile number with CBSE.

Students will have to visit the official website of DigiLocker and register themselves, Subsequently, they must follow the steps mentioned below to obtain the CBSE 12th Result 2021-

  1. Login using the Username and Password to the App
  2. Go to ‘Profile’ and sync the Aadhaar number, if the same hasn’t been done while signing up
  3. Click on ‘Pull Partner Documents’ 
  4. There will be two drop-down menus on the next screen

From the first one, select ‘Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi’

From the next one, select ‘Mark sheet (HSC/SSC)’, ‘Migration certificate’ or ‘Passing certificate’ etc

  1. Enter the required details, like year of passing and roll number, into the next screen
  2. The Mark sheet/ Certificate for CBSE 12th Result 2021 will be downloaded. Students can save the document in DigiLocker account by clicking on the ‘Save to locker’ button.

 CBSE class 12 Result 2021- Here’s how to calculate percentage

The marks in the five main subjects are to be added and divided by 5. For example, the marks of the five main subjects are mentioned below: 

Subject 1: 80

Subject 2: 85 

Subject 3: 87

Subject 4: 92

Subject 5: 95

Step 1: The total marks: 80+85+87+92+95= 439

Step 2: Divide it by 5

439/5 = 87.8 

CBSE Class 12 Board Exams Passing Criteria

Students would be considered to have cleared the CBSE board exams if they fulfil the criteria mentioned below:

  • Should secure a grade higher than ‘E’ (that is, at least 33% marks) in all the five subjects of external exams in the main (or compartmental exams)
  • For practical work-related subjects, candidates should secure 33% marks in theory and 33% marks in practical. Apart from this, aspirants should have secured at least 33% marks in aggregate

Aspirants would be given a pass certificate by the Board if they get a grade above ‘E’ in all subjects of internal assessment (unless he/she is exempted).

CBSE 12th Result 2021 – Compartment/Re-evaluation

If a student is unsatisfied with the results, they can raise a request for re-evaluation. The rechecking results will be made available online in August 2021. If a student is unable to clear a subject, they can appear for the compartment exams for Class 12. The CBSE Compartment exams 2021 are expected to be held in September. The results for the same will be announced in the first week of October 2021.

CBSE 12th Result Statistics for the previous year

  • The overall pass percentage in 2020 was 88.78. Girls outshone boys in CBSE class 12 examination. They recorded 5.96% higher pass percentage than boys.
  • The pass percentage of transgender students was 66.67 per cent. Trivandrum region recorded the highest percentage with 97.67 % followed by Bengaluru with 97.05% and Chennai with 96.17%.
  • 1.57 lakh students scored over 90% and 38,686 scored over 95%.
  • In 2020, 87,651 students were placed in compartment compared to 99,207 in 2019.
  • CBSE had decided not to announce the merit list for Class 12 examination in 2020 owing to coronavirus outbreak.
  • Class 12 results of 400 students could not be computed as per the decided assessment scheme. These were announced later.
  • Patna region recorded lowest pass percentage at 74.57

CBSE 12th Result 2021 – Topper list

Central Board of Secondary Education might release the CBSE 12th Topper list 2021 along with the result. In 2020, the Board had decided not to release the CBSE Class 12 merit list. However, Divyanshi Jain from Lucknow secured a perfect 100% in CBSE 12th Results 2020 with 100 marks each in every subject. Students can check the previous years’ CBSE 12th toppers list which is provided in the table below.

What after the declaration of CBSE 12th Result 2021?

After the release of CBSE class 12th Result 2021, students are required to collect the original marksheet from their schools respectively. They can now apply for various professional and undergraduate courses in different universities and colleges. Delhi University offers various undergraduate programmes for students hailing from all the three streams- Science, Commerce and Arts. DU admissions for most of its programmes are conducted on merit basis while for others the University conducts entrance exams. All colleges affiliated to the University of Delhi release DU Cutoffs which mark the minimum score that candidates need to take admission into the college. CBSE 12th Exams- Important FAQs 

Q: What is the minimum percentage I should secure in order to pass the CBSE 12th exam?

A: Students should secure at least 33% to pass the CBSE 12th exam.

Q: How can I file for reviewing answers to CBSE?

A: CBSE provides a specific time and date for filing for reviewing with a certain fee. Once your doubt is confirmed by them, the money would be refunded by CBSE.

Q: Can I contact CBSE to increase my marks in case of any discrepancy?

A: No, this cannot be done. However, if there has been a dispute regarding the award of correct marks, then reviewing the answer sheet can be filed as per the procedure mentioned above. 

Q: When do I get the original copy of the mark sheet?

A: The hard copy of original mark sheets and certificates are sent to the schools. These can be collected from your school within one month from the declaration of the result. 

Q: How do I get the migration certificate?

A: CBSE sends the migration certificates to the schools. Students will have to collect it from there with procedures that the school follows. 

Q: When will the results be announced this year for CBSE 12th exams?

A: The CBSE 12th Result 2021 are expected to be out in July 2021. 

Q: Can I check CBSE Result 2021 using Microsoft SMS Organizer?

A: No. Microsoft discontinued its CBSE Result service using SMS Organizer starting 2020. The service was provided until 2019.

Q: How to calculate the percentage in CBSE 12th Result 2021?

A: The procedure to calculate the percentage has been mentioned above with an example. 

Q: What if I don’t get the results through online sources?

A: There are various online sources from where the results can be availed. However, if such a case arises, then the regional CBSE Board Office can be contacted. 

Q: Is the online result that we get valid?

A: Yes, the online result is valid. You can extract the result from Digilocker, it has been electronically signed and is valid like the original hard copy. 

Q: Is viewing files on Digilocker safe?

A: Digilocker is a government initiative that is enabled to establish a seamless connection, which is entirely secure, between multiple departments and the issued certificates. 

Q: My name has been misspelt in the result card. How should I get it corrected? 

A: Students, in this case, candidates should immediately get in contact with their school and the CBSE regional office for correction or rectification.
